I am so l33t.

We flew our plane again this morning. It went well, until we let the less-experienced pilot fly. She crashed, and entirely unluckily the engine and engine-mount broke. The engine we traded in for a new one (and I soldered on the connectors), but the engine-mount doesn't really detach, so I had to custom-design and cut a repair piece out of scrap wood. I got to use a power saw (and a lot of files).

Machining little parts and repairing broken wood is hard. It would have been so much easier if I could have gotten the whole section off, but then I'd have had to cut 5 new pieces instead of one. Yuck. I hope it flies tomorrow.

Why is it that every time I use C/A glue, I glue my fingers together? I need to be more careful or something.

In other news, the Unified classroom (35-225) was hacked this morning. Most of the seat backs were removed, and the remaining ones spelled "A / A" (meaning either a Unified grade for someone who did well, or Aero/Astro, it wasn't clear.)
The bolts for all of the chairs were left, sorted, in plastic bags, in a folder set inside the Unified "returned papers" hanging-folder rack, labelled "Wes Harris".
The top board said "To Wes Harris" (our prof) "In Loving Memory Ag."
and the bottom one said "-Building 33", which has a Story:

A couple weeks ago, some people were working way late in the Unified lounge.
As sometimes happens, one thing led to another and somehow, the solutions to several of the Fluids pset problems ended up on the window of the Aero/Astro lounge in whiteboard marker, attributed to "Building 33", with a disclaimer concerning the potential inaccuracy of the solutions. (I don't have the wording, because I wasn't there.) Professor Harris was apparently upset about this, and told us in class how inappropriate it was. The students thought it was amusing, and that Harris was over-reacting a bit...

Quiz

That was a bad quiz. I did not finish.
Luckily (perhaps) neither did anyone else... we'll see what that means for my grade...
